Main Research Direction

Our laboratory interests include sarcopenia, frailty, sarcopenic obesity, myokine, and physical exercise intervention for the elderly, metabolic diseases, mild cognitive dysfunction, and cancer patients.

Our laboratory research ranges from cellular/molecular work using animal models studying underlying mechanisms to whole body work measuring functional capacity of human subjects for developing appropriate intervention strategy (Integrative Exercise Science, from Bench to Bedside)

Exercise-induced myokines influencing crosstalk between brain and skeletal muscle primarily in an autocrine, endocrine, or paracrine fashion.
