Main Research Direction

• Our laboratory interests include sarcopenia, frailty, sarcopenic obesity, myokine, and physical exercise intervention for the elderly, metabolic diseases, mild cognitive dysfunction, and cancer patients.
• Our laboratory research ranges from cellular/molecular work using animal models studying underlying mechanisms to whole body work measuring functional capacity of human subjects for developing appropriate intervention strategy (Integrative Exercise Science, from Bench to Bedside)
• Exercise-induced myokines influencing crosstalk between brain and skeletal muscle primarily in an autocrine, endocrine, or paracrine fashion.
